The file is being parsed, as evidenced by phpinfo, but Providence isn't seeing it and there is no gmagick section showing configuration in phpinfo. I also tried using both of the above in the file '/etc/php/7.0/apache2/conf.d/20-gmagick.ini', with no luck. I also tried using 'extension=/usr/lib/php/20151012/gmagick.so'. I installed gmagick from PECL using 'pecl channel-update ' and then 'pecl install gmagick-2.0.4RC1' (2.0.4RC1 is the most recent version), and adding 'extension=gmagick.so' in the php.ini specified by phpinfo. From what I read, gmagick is the 'most preferred' of the five image handlers supported by Providence, so I want to install that. I have GraphicsMagick running and talking to Providence without issue, but I can t seem to get gmagick running. I can't find any documentation that covers any of the following three problems. The output of phpinfo() and the Providence Configuration Check are attached. (I am running this on an Intel Pentium D 32-bit 'server' (read: 10-year-old desktop) using Debian 9 stretch, Apache 2.4.25 MySQL, and php 7.0.19-1 (because GD won't install with php 7.0.20). I am running into some problems getting all of the media processing plugins working on Providence 1.7.3.
